Paris
We arrived here in Paris Thursday evening after one last wonderful day in Monfreville. Even though we'd only been there one week it was tough to say goodbye. (We keep using 'Mollyisms' now as we stroll the streets.)
We found the apartment without a problem, dropped off our stuff and went out to look for a bite to eat. We found a lively part of the city near the Latin quarter and ate at one of the many Greek take-out restaurants in the area. We had Tzatziki Frites, french fries and garlic yogurt sauce wrapped in pida bread. Not quite the same as our gourmet Chateau meals, but it still hit the spot.
Yesterday we did some walking--went by Notre Dame and then into a section of Paris called Marais. We followed a walking tour from cards that Michael's mom gave us. It ended up being kind of like a scavenger hunt: "find the initials S.C. on this corner that date from the 16th century", we had lots of fun with it. Michael says that Marais is now his favorite part of Paris.
Today we went to a local outdoor produce market for some picnic supplies and are now wandering around again, this time around the Sorbonne and into Montparnasse. Michael tried to upload some pictures here, but it doesn't seem to be working. We'll try again soon.
Our love to all,
Megan and Michael
It's your 2 week anniversary!!
this travelogue is such a wonderful idea - we are so happy to read what a great time you are having.
I am sure the weather in Paris is better now than during our short visit in March.
Enjoy - we love you!

Eric and Dave just quit their jobs, Alexa dropped out of school and we booked our tickets out to France so you guys better tell the Chateau people that we're on our way!
Keep those pictures coming and we'll be in the next series!
We love you, your cousin, sister and Dave.
The Marais was my favorite part of Paris as well! Then again Paris was quite a pleasant city overall. :> The people there were quite friendly as well.
Interesting thoughts.
