Arrived!

how nice to be able to follow you! (and how great that you posted the entry so quickly!)
When you arrived in Paris David and I were probably somewhere over the UP! We also arrived safely in Oakland and were back at Harbin around 3:30 so we got a few hours sleep before work.

Hey, you guys, my mom just flew to France yesterday, last minute, to visit the family. We live close to Nantes... look on the map for Le Croisic, our house is on the beach just near there. She's there until the 27th. If you have a free day or two, you should go visit my family. I'm sure all the beds are full, but if you have a tent I'm sure if would be cool with them if you set up camp. You can just chill on the beach. Also, the 14th is a big holiday there, so have fun! Just a thought.

Hey guys, just came across your website. I strolled, read and was completely wowed. What compassion, what demonstration of the citizenship and heart without borders. You remind me of a book I read once. The title was - "I too lived in Arcadia." The author let it be known she lived by her heart, saw all the beauty there was to be seen in this world, met all the people it is worthwhile meeting, and did all the things that brought joy and fulfillment to her inner self. It might not dawn on you now, but I can certainly say that it will eventually, at some point in your life, when your are no more deceived by the illusions of the senses and the misplaced priorities of the world around you. For when you can say to yourself at any point in life - "I did what my inner self commanded and I did it wholeheartedly and with the full cooperation of my whole personality" - then you know you have lived fully and in your own Arcadia. You have not just existed, not simply marked the time, but actually lived life in the fullest sense. I will follow your progress in the months to come. And I will use your work to remind myself - "All's not lost, all is not lost yet."

Hopefully you'll remember me, probably more from Charlottes pictures of her recent travels in Australia where we roomed together. Just found this link on her weblog and wanted to say congratulations on your marriage, I hope your life together is happy and brings you many more special moments. Good luck on your travels, I love traveling and the people you meet, its amazing when you suddenly realize what a small world we live in and how many wonderful people there in the world, you'll want to continue for ever because if you stop you'll always wonder who you didn't get to meet.
