Maya is 6 Weeks Old

Maya celebrated her 6 week "birthday" on Friday. Megan and I were remarking the other day how we feel like we learn a little bit more about her personality each day we spend with her. I'm sure it's a combination between Maya developing mentally a little bit each day and us becoming attuned in to her subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) ways of communicating. It's been a wonderful experience so far.

Thanks to Megan's aunt Henni for sending us the "Sail Time" outfit (pictured above) that's been in her family for 20-something years.

Almost 25 weeks

I can't believe how quickly time is going by! I've been wanting to get this blog started since we first found out, and now here I am more than half way into my pregnancy. Everything is going well--I feel great and am enjoying my second trimester. Actually, my first trimester wasn't that bad either, I just felt a little queasy and tired. The most exciting thing recently has been feeling more and more movement from the baby. I think I first felt definite movement around 18 weeks, and then Michael got to feel the baby a few weeks later. Now one of my favorite things to do is sit in our new glider and watch my belly twitch and dance around.

Michael and I went up to Harbin Hot Springs for one day this weekend to visit my mom and David. The weather was beautiful and really warm, and I got to enjoy a relaxing Watsu (water massage) from Padma Kate.

I've posted the most recent photos of my pregnant belly in our photo gallery. I'll try to keep the photos and entries updated often so check back again soon.
